[12:38] [/] Bonsai Bugs v2w
Welcome to the new look Bonsai Bugs. As the most frequented page on backprop.net I have chosen to update it first with the new look intended for the rest of the site (much of the rest of the site is built using Movable Type templates and these will take a while for me to fully update). In the mean time if you have any comments on this news look, please let me know.
In the near future I have an updated script to generate the bug listings but before I can install that I'll have to understand pyblosxom a little better and I have to convert it to use a different XML parsing library (my host doesn't have pyexpat installed - a fact I only discovered after writing the script with it).
Bonsai Bugs now uses pyblosxom to control access to the bug lists. This is a big improvement on the unwieldy PHP page I used previously. Now to add a new branch, I just have to edit my scripts and not the PHP too - if you ever noticed the Mozilla 1.4 branch checkins option missing, it was because I would forget to update the PHP occasionally!
The new features of Bonsai Bugs include:
- Longer history - I'm not sure how long I will keep checkin histories but it should be significantly longer than the current week (probably 1-2 months)
- All tracked branches/directories/products are presented on a daily basis
Features that are coming soon include:
- Read the latest checkins through your aggregator. XML,TXT and ESF feeds available now. More can be added on request. This only has the top level entries for now. This is my top priority to fix.
- Comments can be left for a particular days checkins This will hopefully be enabled soon.
